Music and Arts in Action

The peer reviewed journal Music and Arts in Action (MAiA) has emerged from the SocArts group at the University of Exeter, I am currently editor of this journal. The aim is to provide a cross disciplinary forum for practitioners and artists as well as academics. We have a keen interest in how, when and where do music and art do something, how do music and art matter, with a key focus on empirical data. We welcome contributions from anyone regardless of their background. The journal is free to access for everyone, and have 3 issues out already (as of autumn 2009). A special issue will be out in 2010 on music and conflict transformation/peace building..
