Together with other members of the SocArts group at Exeter I will be presenting the paper I did at the ESA 2007 conference, this is an opportunity for us to share our work with fellow students and staff that were not able to come to Germany. Full program below.
Title: Fostering peace through music in schools
I have been invited to give a talk at the Gown meets Town initiative in Exeter at the Global Centre. This is an opportunity for academics to share their research with interested people in Exeter. I will discuss how music can (or can not) foster peace in schools using data from my fieldwork in Norway. This is a joint event with Gabriela Meier who will talk about languages and peace.
